PvP packs? - Guild Wars Forums

so i have guild wars prohecies, and just recently bought factions. i've never played endgame pvp in either, cuz i just havent got there yet.

i bought factions for the alliances and the whole FvF pvp and stuff.

so i'm just wondering what the pvp environment is like... meaning what are the more prevalent proffession combos and builds. the reason for these is hinted at by the title, because i'm wondering if it will help to get the nightfall pvp pack, for the new skills and classes and whatever comes with that.

in summary, how much will it affect my pvp performance if i don't/do get the nightfall pvp pack?

P.S. i'm a noob, and wholly new to the whole gw pvp thing, so if my questions are a bit vague, don't flame me. thanks!

if you're serious about getting into pvp, then you'll need all 3 campaigns.

since you're new, easieste thing would be to join a pvp guild and just run guild vs guild, heroe's ascent, etc with them as you get to know the builds and how to run them. as long as you don't act like a noob (that is, someone who refuses to learn since they think they know better), most people will be willing to have you in their guild or on the their friends list to pvp with and you'll eventually get the hang of it. if you want to HA or GvG with the top players though, you'll have to get the higher ranks and eventually prove to them that you can play at their level.

btw, you're not a noob. you're a newb. there is a difference. noob = person who is ignorant by choice because they refuse to change. newb = someone new to the game.
